Now authorities say the mother and boyfriend killed them.
27-year old Amanda Hamm and 28 year old Maurice Lagrone Junior are charged with murdering the children, ages six, three and 23 months old.
The children died after the car they were in either slid or was driven off a boat ramp- with the couple standing nearby.

Half a dozen local radio stations have been knocked off the air by the Federal Communications Commission. The stations were silenced Monday after they failed to renew their licenses. Management at South Boston's W-H-L-F AM radio say they planned to go out of business, but Pulaski's W-B-L-B is scrambling to get back on the air. Officials with the Christian station say the renewal was overlooked, but that they hope to be back on the air as soon as tomorrow. Call letters of the canceled stations are now up for grabs.

The clerk recorder's office in Santa Barbara, California confirms the couple applied for a marriage license on Friday.
That also appears to be the date they got married in a short, secret ceremony.
An official in the county office says documents show the marriage happened, but provided no other details.
Paltrow's publicist says his client refuses to confirm or deny the report.
Paltrow announced that's week she's pregnant and due next summer.

First Bryant Matthews get the highlight reel rolling with the flying jam. It's 21-to-19 Hokies.
