Good Evening. I'm Jean Jadhon.
The drownings happened three months ago, but it wasn't until now that sheriff's deputies arrested the woman and her boyfriend.
The children, ages six, three and two drowned when the car they were in slid off a boat ramp and sank into an Illinois lake.
Drew Levinson has more.

((The three-month mystery surrounding the drowning of three small children in this lake in Central Illinois may have been solved--authorities say their mother and her boyfriend killed them. SHERIFF ROGER MASSEY/DEWITT COUNTY, IL: WE'RE NOT DEALING WITH A SITUATION OF WHO DONE IT. But rather, the question is why did they allegedly do it? 27-year old Amanda Hamm and 28-year old Maurice Lagrone Junior are charged with the murders of six-year-old Christopher, three-year-old Austin and 23-month-old Kyleigh.
MASSEY: "WE DO HAVE A MOTIVE" However authorities won't say what that motive is. The children died after the car they were either slid or driven off a boat ramp and ended up in four and half feet of water....with the couple standing nearby.
MASSEY: BOTH WERE PRESENT AT THE SCENE, BOTH WENT TOGETHER, BUT THAT IS AS FAR AS WE WILL GO ON HOW THEY CONSPIRED. Since the drownings first came to light--many have wondered could this be another Susan Smith Case. Union, SC 1994 The South Carolina woman was convicted of murdering her two small children in 1994.
