SCRIPT

(SUPER: Nov. 20/Santa Barbara, CA)

IT HAS BEEN NEARLY ONE MONTH SINCE MICHAEL JACKSON WAS ARRESTED... HANDCUFFED... AND BOOKED FOR CHILD MOLESTATION. NOT UNUSUAL, SAY LEGAL ANALYSTS:

(SUPER: Laurie Levenson/Former Federal Prosecutor)
SOT Laurie Levenson, Former Federal Prosecutor "YOU HAVE MURDER CASES

WHERE THEY'VE TAKEN SIX MONTHS OR LONGER TO ACTUALLY BRING THE FORMAL CHARGES. THEY WANT TO BE EXTRA CAREFUL."
THE EXTRA CARE THIS TIME COMES AS DISTRICT ATTORNEY TOM SNEDDON INVESTIGATES JACKSON FOR A SECOND TIME.

(GRAPHIC--)

TEN YEARS AGO, HIS CASE FELL APART WHEN THIS LITTLE BOY ACCEPTED A REPORTED 20 MILLION DOLLARS FROM JACKSON, AND REFUSED TO TESTIFY IN A CRIMINAL CASE. BUT INSIDERS SAY THAT EVIDENCE FROM THE 1993 CASE WILL BE INTRODUCED THIS TIME... INCLUDING THAT OF AN ALLEGED SECOND VICTIM FROM THAT TIME:

SOT Jim Thomas, Former SB Sheriff "WE HAD ANOTHER IN 1993 WHO ALSO

CLAIMED HE WAS MOLESTED.
(END GRAPHIC)
(SUPER: Jim Thomas/Former Santa Barbara Co Sheriff)

I WOULD THINK SOME OF THE EVIDENCE GATHERED IN THE 93 CASE AND THE PART THAT I HAD SOME SUPERVISION ON MAY WELL BE USED."
JACKSON HIMSELF HASN'T BEEN SEEN SINCE HE FLEW BACK TO LAS VEGAS AFTER BEING BOOKED AND TOOK A BIZARRE THREE-HOUR DRIVE AROUND THE CITY, MOBBED BY ONLOOKERS. BUT HIS LAWYERS AND FAMILY MEMBERS HAVE TAKEN TURNS DEFENDING HIM:

(SUPER: Nov. 25/Mark Geragos/Jackson's Attorney)
sot Mark Geragos "If people don't think this is all about money, then

they're living in their own Neverland."

(GRAPHIC-- FREEZE OF BOY, FACE MUST BE OBSCURED!!!, with PAPERS

FANNED... read out "Incidents of abuse" and "unproven accusations of sexual abuse" --THESE ARE NOT DIRECT QUOTES from PAPERS)
AND THE ALLEGED VICTIM AND HIS FAMILY HAVE HAD THEIR CREDIBILITY THOROUGHLY QUESTIONED...THROUGH OLD COURT CASES, WHICH SUGGEST SEVERAL INCIDENTS OF ABUSE WITHIN THE FAMILY, AND UNPROVEN ACCUSATIONS OF SEXUAL ABUSE LODGED AGAINST A SECURITY GUARD IN A DISPUTE AT A DEPARTMENT STORE;

AND ALSO IN A LEAKED REPORT FROM THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES THAT INDICATES THE BOY AND HIS MOTHER DENIED JACKSON MOLESTED HIM.

But over the last 18 years, Grammy winner Randy Travis has carved his own niche in the country music world. [TAKE ALBUM PINNACLE FULL]

Good afternoon, Randy.

(Congratulations on the nominations.... Does the recognition for the album "Rise and Shine take on special meaning to y

(How is "Rise and Shine" different from your new album, "Worship and Faith"?)

(You've always been one to set trends in country music-- beginning in the '80s you helped bring back more traditional

music--Are you glad to see that trend continuing?)

(You also have been able to balance your music career with an acting career... having appeared on shows like "Touched b

y an Angel". But you've also made some films like "The Rainmaker"-- Any plans for any more movies?)

(And while you're here-- have you finalized plans for next year's tour? And if so, any plans to come back to Southwest

Virginia?)
