Pulaski residents are getting a Christmas present a couple of days early.
Three-hundred new jobs are on their way.
Governor Warner announced today that Global Contact Services has selected the New River Valley for the location of a customer contact center.
The one-point-three million dollar investment will create more than 300 new jobs in Pulaski County.
It is the area's largest economic development project in more than three years.

25-year-old Bradford Powers of Salem was wounded in the shoulder and stomach; he's in fair condition at Roanoke Memorial.

A Rocky Mount man is dead after his dump truck ran an into an oncoming tractor trailer.

It happened yesterday on Burnt Chimney Road in Franklin County. Authorities say the dump truck went out of control, overturned and skidded into a tractor-trailer in the opposite lane.
The collision killed 39 year old John Lee Tyree of Rocky Mount.
The other driver, Jimmy Lee Smith of Wirtz, was not seriously hurt.

Magician Roy Horn has left the hospital and is now back home where he'll continue recovering from a tiger attack.
The incident happened on stage at the MGM- Mirage Hotel on October third.
His manager says 59- year- old Horn was moved to the U-C-L-A Hospital two months ago, and has now returned to Las Vegas.
Officials say Horn has made steady progress.
He's now able to write notes.
No word yet on how long his recovery may take.

The big guy in the red suit brought gifts yesterday to animals at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs.


In case you're wondering, the animals were locked inside the zoo while Santa was in their exhibit.
The zoo's African lions, bears and red river hogs were among those receiving Christmas goodies.
The animals got bagels, fruit, nuts and berries, except for the lions. They received boxes filled with wild game hides.
