A missing woman from Greensboro has been arrested in Gretna on felony child abuse charges.

25 year old Tiffney Nicole Williams left a doctor's office in North Carolina with her two year old child Monday morning.
After her boyfriend reported her missing, her child was found alone in her car in the Whittles community of Pittsylvania County.

Williams was located today at Grandview apartments about five miles from there.
After a mental evaluation, she was charged and arrested.
She is being held without bond.

There's a year left on the lease at Spartan Square. The terms of the lease require Heironimus to remain in business through the end of what's been a 15-year agreement.
Property owner L-S Waldrop says he can hold the company to it, but he says "it doesn't make sense." He fully expects the parent company to close Heironimus in Salem when the rest of the stores- -in Roanoke and Lynchburg- -close February 29th.
Waldrop says he's confident he can find a new tenant, "equal to or better than what we have now."

The Roanoke metro area saw unemployment drop two tenths, coming in at an even three percent.
The Danville metro area saw the biggest improvement for the month. Unemployment there dropped eight tenths of a point. But at seven percent, it is still the highest jobless rate in the state.
The rate remained unchanged at four point three percent in the Lynchburg area.
