((For Millions of Foreigners arriving at Americas airports its a new way to say hello. Theyre being fingerprinted and photographed. It's another line of defense--another way to try to keep terrorists off U-S soil. TOM RIDGE/DIRECTOR OF HOMELAND SECURITY: UNFORTUNATELY SOME PEOPLE HAVE SOUGHT TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OUR OPEN ARMS AND WELCOMING SHORES SO WE MUST PROTECT OUR CITIZENS AND OUR VISITORS FROM THOSE WHO WISH US HARM. Customs agents can now instantly check an immigrant or visitors criminal background by through national datadbases. Federal authorities say the process adds less than a minute to the time it already takes to get through customs. Some passengers admit its a slight inconvenience. ASHUKO OKAMOTO/JAPANESE VISITOR: I DONT KNOW, IT WAS OK WITH ME. A LITTLE NERVOUS? YEH A LITTLE NERVOUS WHEN THEY ASKED ME TO PUT FINGER ON IT BUT IT IS OK. DREW LEVINSON: AS MUCH AS THE DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY MAINTAINS THIS ENHANCES SECURITY, THERE ARE CRITICS WHO COMPLAIN THIS NEW PROGRAM OF FINGERPRINTING AND PHOTOGRAPHING TREADS ON PERSONAL PRIVACY. And theres the issue that its not for everyone. Visitors from 27 countries-- whose citizens are allowed to come to the United States for up to 90 days without visas are exempt. Michael G. Cherkasky/Security Specialst, Kroll Inc.: WE CANT DO IT AD HOC, CANT DO IT FOR ONE GROUP AND NOT OTHERS, WE NEED TO DO IT ACROSS THE BOARD AND NOT ON THE BASIS OF RACE, RELIGION OR NATIONAL ORIGIN. And its not at only airports-this is also being done at 14 major seaports and eventually the borders. The fingerprinting and picture taking will be repeated when visitors leave the country...its another just sign of how this country has changed since September 11th. (Maybe it was a wedding performance at last years MTV Awards that gave

Britney Spears the inspiration. Or that kiss with Madonna, whos also a married woman.

Whatever the reason, Spears says she lacked understanding of her actions when she got hitched on the spur of the moment. And her lawyer filed annulment papers Monday in a Las Vegas courtroom.
Family members say the groom is back home in Louisiana and just wants to go back to being plain old Jason Allen Alexander. His brief brush with fame came as, of all things, Mr. Britney Spears.
