Some Northwest Airlink flights may be grounded for a while starting at midnight tonight.

Pilots for Mesaba airlines which operates as Northwest Airlink may go out on strike.
The airline funnels passengers to about 30 states.. and does operate flights out of Roanoke.
For many passengers the news of a possible strike came as a suprise.

Last night, he told members of the Roanoke Democratic Committee that he will seek its nomination.
