In other news, a three-judge panel has overturned a disputed election in Bedford County. A registrar's mistake led to 56 people voting in the wrong district on November 4th. After Supervisor Tony Ware lost by 12 votes and School Board candidate Carolyn Dixon lost by just 8 votes, they challenged the election results. Late today, the judges agreed that the mistake probably had an impact on the outcome of the election. They ordered a new election, which will be held in November. Both boards have 45 days to appoint someone to fill the vacancies until then.
