The Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen has agreed not to call for a strike against Norfolk Southern until the railroad and union go back before a federal judge later this month. Now a new study backs up the claim that light cigarettes are no better than regular ones. A study by M-I-T researchers and the American Cancer Society says low tar cigarettes and normal cigarettes pose the same health risk. The groups compared lung cancer deaths among thousands of smokers over a six year period and found no difference in the death rate among those who smoked ligh or ultra light cigarettes.
