Workers at one Blacksburg plant are being told that layoffs are looming in the company's future.

Federal-Mogul told employees today that there will be a round of layoffs at the plant this March. No decision has been made on how many workers will be affected, but a plant official said the layoffs will be "large for the size of the plant". The downsizing is blamed on economic pressures from national and worldwide competition. Federal-Mogul currently employs more than 430 workers in Blacksburg.

According to search warrants filed Tuesday, investigators report Kyonte suffered numerous injuries after being struck by a vehicle and falling from a second story window twice before his death. Police have not named anyone in connection with the investigation. Kyonte's mother, Kyana Poindexter, could not be reached for comment.

Track: A Vanity Fair article written by Mauree Orth says the singer gives children wine out of soda cans....calling white wine "Jesus Juice" an red wine ``Jesus blood.''
Orth writes that Jackson's accuser claims the pop star gave him wine in Coke cans on a flight from Florida in February 2003, with his unsuspecting mom right there. The report quotes a former Jackson business adviser, as saying all the kids around Jackson knew about Jesus juice. Jackson reportedly told them, ``Jesus drank it, so it must be good.''
Jackson is charged with having lewd contact with a child and giving an intoxicating agent to a minor. Orth reports both the alleged victim and his brother were offered drinks.

A House of Delegates committee has struck down a controversial bill that would have allowed the photo-monitoring system at stop lights across the state.
Some law enforcement officials wanted more cameras at red lights- saying they sharply decrease red light-running and accidents at intersections.
A bill that would allow red light cameras in Roanoke is still alive- and could be approved by the General Assembly.
