Amherst County authorities have arrested a New York man in connection with a murder last month.
26-year-old Jermel Lawrence Storey was pulled over by Lynchburg Police around two this morning.
He was later arrested after officers learned he was wanted for questioning in the January 16th murder of Phillip James near Madison Heights.
Storey faces first degree murder charges, and firearms charges.
He's being held in the Amherst County Jail without bond.
Authorities say the investigation is continuing and there could more arrests.

Henry County authorities have made an arrest in a 10-year-old murder.
Brian Douglas Kidd was last seen in August of 1993 at a home on Richardson Drive near Collinsville.
Authorities say Kidd was shot outside his residence and his body was taken to a wooded area.
Today, 38 year old Robert Wayne Reynolds of Fieldale contacted authorities in reference to the disappearance, and was charged with second degree murder.
Reynolds is being held in the Henry County Jail without bond.

Danville police are searching for the person responsible for sending two people to the hospital this morning.

The prisoners released a second guard, a man, on January 24th.

Nearly 250-pilgrims were crushed to death during Sunday's Muslim pilgrimage, or hajj.
Authorities say the pilgrims were trying to make their way to the ritual "stoning of the devil," when a few of them fell on a bridge, and could not escape the oncoming crowd.
Even hundreds more were hurt.
Fatal stampedes have occurred before at the site, but authorities say today's was the worst in seven years.

The ceremony began at 9 a-m -- the moment communication ceased with ``Columbia."
It ended 16 minutes later. That's when the spacecraft should have been landing at the runway in Florida.
The space agency's remaing shuttle fleet is grounded while safety changes are being made.

For the second time in three years the Patriots are Super Bowl Champs. In what was expected to be a defensive struggle, New England finally had to outscore the Carolina Panthers in the end to claim the Lombardi Trophy.

The Panthers were making their first trip to the big game in franchise history.
After two Adam Vinatieri missed field goals, the Pats cashed in a turnover when Tom Brady found Deion Branch on a 5 yard TD hookup and it was 7-nothing.
Carolina finally got on track in the second quarter as Jake Delhome went up top for Steve Smith. The Pro Bowler hauled it in for a 39 yard strike just before the half tying the game at 7.
But game MVP Brady struck again just a minute later finding David Givens in the zone. New England led 14-10 after two quarters.
DeShaun Foster gave Carolina some momentum early in the 4th quarter capping an 81 yard drive with this 33 yard gallop to the house to make it 21-16.
It was 29-22 New England before Ricky Proehl collected a 12 yard toss from Delhomme and the Panthers were thinking OT.

With the Daytona 500 just 13 days away, Bill Davis Racing has some legal issues to work out. Last night, driver Scott Wimmer was arrested for driving while impaired.

Wimmer, who replaced Ward Burton in the Caterpillar Dodge late last season, wrecked a pickup truck owned by Bill Davis Racing at about 2am. The incident occurred in High Point, North Carolina. Wimmer is one of 6 drivers who is expected to compete for Nextel Cup Rookie of the Year honors this season.

Hundreds of people in one province of India was treated to two teams of tuskers facing each other in a game of soccer.
The match kicked off the area's second grand elephant festival.
Tourists enjoyed every moment as the giant creatures tried to pass the ball with kicks.
The match ended in a scoreless tie but the audience was thrilled, no matter what the creatures' skills.
