Jennifer Donelan/CBS News: A State Supreme Court ruling in November said , the way the state constitution is written now, it is illegal to DENY marriage to gays and lesbians. If the change is made by these legislators....it would have to be approved again in 2006. That in turn would put the issue on the ballot. Voters would ultimately decide. When Travelocity opened its call center in Dickenson County, it was called a role model for changing the economy in Virginia's coalfields.
Now three years later, the Clintwood center is closing, leaving 250 people out of work.
Company officials said by the end of the year, the work will be outsourced to a company in India.
The move is part of a trend toward moving customer service jobs overseas.
Local leaders said they were shocked by the company's announcement.

Dale Earnhardt , Junior won the first 50 lap dash and locked up the third starting spot on Sunday. The only real mishap in either race came when Jeff Gordon and rookie Casey Kahne tangled in the pits. Gordon needed a provisional to make the starting grid for the 500. No such worries for Elliott Sadler - he went out and won the second 125 in the M&M's Ford. Sterling Marlin held off Kevin Harvick in a tight finish for second place. Ricky Rudd led early and finished 8th.
