Today, school board members decided to seek more information from the architect, and more input from the public.

A traffic stop in Pittsylvania County last weekend turned up more than two and a half million dollars worth of marijuana.
The sheriff's office says deputies stopped a tractor trailer on Route 29 Sunday night for a traffic offense.
When a narcotics dog searched the trailer, authorities found more than 25-hundred pounds of pot.
Two Texas men.. 34-year-old Alex Aponte (uh-PON-tay) and 45-year-old Daniel Canty.. are facing federal charges of conspiracy to distribute marijuana.
They're being held in Roanoke without bond.

A Campbell County man is in custody, charged with shooting another man outside a Lynchburg restaurant last night.

That's where a dispute between two men outside the restaurant ended, when one of them pulled a gun and shot the other in the leg.

Minutes after the shooting, police stopped the suspect in the parking lot of the River Ridge Mall.
22-year-old Reginald Lorenzo Anthony of Evington is facing malicious wounding and firearms charges.
Police recovered a gun from Anthony's car.

An accident in Grayson County killed an Elkin, North Carolina man yesterday. 41-year-old Donald Lynn Newman was traveling north on Route 89 when his 1990 Ford F-150 crossed over into the southbound lane, striking a tractor trailer head- on. Virginia State Police say there was NO indication that the accident occurred because of slick roads.

A familiar toy store is closing its doors in Virginia. K-B Toys has announced its plans to close 11 stores statewide, including locations in Roanoke, Lynchburg and Christiansburg. Officials say the stores are "under- performing" and don't fit the company's "strategic plan". The toy store filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last month, citing an increase in competition from discount stores. As a result of the closings, 35- hundred jobs will be lost nationwide.

24 hearty surfers were "hanging ten" in Nova Scotia for a chance to share a 10- thousand dollar prize in the third annual winter surfing contest.
The winter warriors surfed waves amid bitter cold winds and fresh snow.
It was well worth the trip for Dean Randazzo, a surfer from New Jersey, who took home the winning trophy.
