Jury selection is underway in the case against a former Giles County pastor accused of molesting several children.

53-year old Roger Holcomb entered "not" guilty pleas this morning to 7-counts of aggravated sexual battery and 4-counts of indecent liberties with a minor.
Holcomb is accused of molesting five children, ranging in age from seven to 13 while he was pastor at Pembroke Church of God.
Opening arguments will most likely begin after lunch.
The trial is expected to last several days.

Virginia Tech quarterback Marcus Vick and two other teamates are facing criminal charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Police won't say much, but we know the charges stem from allegations made by two teenage girls and a search of the apartment shared by Vick, Mike Imoh and Brenden Hill.

((According to a search warrant affidavit, the teenage girls told police Marcus Vick has sex with a 15 year old girl during a private gathering at his Blacksburg apartment.
The girls also told investigators Vick, Tech running back Mike Imoh and wide receiver Brenden Hill gave the girls alcohol and that Imoh and Hill took pictures of them as they stripped.
Police searched the apartment 3 weeks ago and confiscated things like bed sheets, condom wrappers and a digital camera and the Virginia Driver's License of his older brother Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick.
MarcusVick is charged with 4 counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor while Imoh and Hill face 3 counts each. If convicted they could get up to a year in jail and/or be fined up to 25-hundred dollars for each count. All 3 have retained lawyers.
A Tech spokesperson issued a statement saying "The University has been apprised of the situation and considers it a serious issue."))

A rail disaster has killed more than 200 people in Iran.
Most of the dead are fire and rescue workers.

Dozens of runaway train cars carrying fuel, fertilizer and industrial chemicals derailed and exploded in northeastern Iran.
The explosions happened as firefighters were working at the scene.

Among the 200 people killed were several top officials, including a local governor and the fire chief.

Roanoke County officials are announcing plans that may bring new businesses and more jobs to the area.

Developers from Bogar L-L-C announced plans this morning to develop and possibly expand the Ingersoll-Rand building at a ribbon cutting for the building's newest tenant, Valley Machine.

Developers want to bring in more companies in order to make the building a multi-tenant building.

To avoid that, parents and doctors are considering some non- traditional approaches for teens to lose weight.
One of those is gastric bypass surgery.

It's official, Vinton has a new town manager. After serving as assistant town manager for more than five-years, Kevin Boggess (Bog-guess) is taking the top spot. He's been serving in this position since the previous manager left in December. Boggess is a Virginia Tech grad. He serves on several regional boards and commissions for the Roanoke Valley.

Christiansburg Police are warning residents about a new phone scam.
Someone is posing as the International Sweep Stakes.
Investigators say the scammer will tell the victim they are the winner of more than 350-thousand dollars.
The catch is, you have send a check for 1-percent of the winnings in order to get the money.
