Virginia Tech's Athletic Department will not immediately take action against three football players charged Tuesday night.

Late Tuesday, police arrested quarterback Marcus Vick, running back Mike Imoh (ee-moh) and wide receiver Brenden Hill on misdemeanor charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The three are accused of giving teenage girls alcohol and taking pictures of them as they stripped.
Vick is also accused of having sex with a 15 year old girl.
A Tech spokesperson says "the university athletic director has taken the situation under review. He will evaluate the students' conduct within the context of the situation, and take action if and when appropriate. "

The expansion has already created new jobs, and the company hopes to build on that.

Some Roanoke County residents are trying to stop a proposed shopping center before developers even have the proper zoning.

Kahn Development wants to build an "upscale shopping center" at the corner of Keagy Road and Route 419. The fifteen and a half acre "retail and office complex" would front Keagy Road. Most of the property is currently zoned as residential. Last night, the Greater Hidden Valley Neighborhood Association held a meeting offering information about the project and a petition to stop it from going forward.

A national television retailer is window-shopping for a new place to call home.

The Home Shopping Network has outgrown its Salem-based distribution center. The center employs 350-people. A spokesperson for the Florida company says its considering new sites in and outside of the Roanoke Valley. A decision is expect in March.

Testimony in the trial of a former Giles County pastor accused of molesting several children will begin today.

53 year old Roger Holcomb yesterday morning pled not guilty to 7-counts of aggravated sexual battery and 4-counts of taking indecent liberties with a minor.
He's accused of molesting five children, ranging in age from seven to 13 while at Pembroke Church of God.

Pulaski County may close one of its elementary schools.

The Superintendent met with parents Tuesday night to discuss the possibility of closing Draper Elementary.
He says enrollment's been dropping for the last five years while maintenance costs have been rising.
The county is considering several options, including closing Draper and sending the kids to the new Pulaski Elementary School.
The Superintendent says the closure is not a done deal and a decision could be several months away.

Many of the state's colleges and universities are putting a 845 million dollar bond referendum to CONSTRUCTIVE use.

Many of the building projects are just getting underway, including a new Agriculture and Natural Resources Facility at Virginia Tech.

Virginia Military Institute received more than twenty two million dollars from the bonds.
The money will be used to renovate several old buildings.
Renovations are also in the works for several buildings at Radford University.
The school received more than 27 million dollars, part of which will pay for a new fine arts center.

Clayton William Waterfield was a Freshmen from Redmond, Washington.
He collapsed at the War Memorial Gym after completing a run with his crew team.

A spokesman says Anthem tries to balance access with affordability for its members, and despite the company's best efforts negotiators were unable to reach agreement in this case.
Medicare patients won't be affected.
For others, A-C-V says the difference between its rates, and Anthem's reimbursement is expected to be about 60 to 90 dollars for most surgeries.
