One man is dead and four others injured after a stabbing outside a Williamson Road restaurant last night.
Police say 32- year old Jim Armijo (Ar-mee- ho) of Wirtz died early this morning from stab wounds he suffered outside Edgar's Restaurant.

32- year- old James Wayne Brady of Rocky Mount says he was walking out of Edgar's around midnight when he heard his friend Jim Armijo arguing with someone.
He says a fight broke out... He and his friends got involved and realized they'd been cut when Armijo collapsed.
Brady and 25- year- old Matthew Pelter were treated and released from the hospital, but 23- year- old Carroll Nathan Cane remains in serious condition.
Police arrested 40- year- old Ronald Wayne Hobbs of Roanoke in connection with the stabbings.

21- year- old Damien Wright was arrested at his home on Tazewell Avenue and is charged with malicious wounding.
He's being held at the Roanoke City Jail.
Police say they're not sure what led to the stabbing.

An argument outside Gary's Bar and Grill in Roanoke sent three women to the hospital.
Police responded to the scene on Marshall Avenue shortly after one this morning.
Nearby residents say they heard screaming and a mob of people fighting outside the bar.
A 49- year- old and 19- year- old were stabbed.
A 30- year- old woman also suffered injuries after being struck with a hammer.
No word on their conditions.
Police believe other victims and suspects were involved.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Roanoke City Police.

The Coast Guard is still searching for the crew of the "Lee the Third" which collided with a container ship at about 5:20 this morning.
A spokesman for the Coast Guard says a rescue team saw the vessel sink but has been unable to locate the crew.

They'll be used to notify motorists of accidents and road- work that could cause delays.

Bryan Randall gave the Hokies a lift burying this three from the corner pocket.
Then with 26 seconds left, Randall makes one of two from the stripe. Bryant Matthews who scored 12 points for Tech, kept the miss alive for Randall who put in the stick back for a one point lead.

Pete Manos comes up with the steal on the backdoor. He goes coast to coast for the lay-in and one. Lynchburg was smellin' the upset.
