The Senate plan involves increasing taxes by four-billion dollars over two years, including increasing the state sales tax to five-point-five percent. The committees will now have to decide on one budget for the new spending cycle, which begins July first. The current General Assembly session ends March 13th.

Palestinians say the wall is nothing more than a "land grab."
At issue... a defense barrier that the Israeli Government is building in the West Bank to keep suicide bombers at bay. Sunday's 23-year-old bomber came from Bethlehem where the fence isn't finished yet. The controversial wall - all 450 miles of concrete and barbed wire - runs through Palestinian territory. Then about 50 laps later, Joe Nemechek got in to Carl Long and Long barrell rolled 5 to 6 times. He was okay in the incident that also claimed the cars of Brendan Gaughan and Bobby Labonte.
Robby Gordon found that part of the track slippery as well, getting loose and clipping Jeff Green before taking a wild ride on the side of his Chevrolet. Gordon finished 36th.
Matt Kenseth found rookie Kasey Kahne on his bumper in the closing circuits. The rookie got a great run on the Cup champ off of turn four of the final lap, but Kenseth kept him at bay taking the checkered flag by one one hundredth of a second.

In a small township in northwestern Italy, residents gathered to re-enact a famous Medieval battle scene.

But, instead of fighting with swords, they battled with oranges. With participants wearing festive costumes, the towns squares are turned into battle grounds between nine competing teams and thousands of people. It's meant to bring to life the medieval Battle of the Oranges in which townspeople overthrew an evil king. For three days, oranges rain down on the kings troops and anyone else until the streets of the town are covered in pulp and juice.
