A psychiatrist has concluded that a triple killer from Danville understands what execution means despite a deteriorating mental condition.

Walton was convicted of killing three of his neighbors in Danville. He pled guilty to capital murder and said he deserved the electric chair.

This was Saint-Vincent's sixth missionary trip to the country, but this time was different.

Greta Evans, most widely known for her work as a reporter and the host of "Datebook" for W-S-L-S, died yesterday at the age of 68.
Evans was also well-known in the community for writing the narration for the musical "Henry Street". She was honored at a ceremony in December, and credited for helping to jump-start the restoration of the Henry Street area.
She also spoke to children in Roanoke schools about African customs and lifestyles.
Evans had been battling kidney and liver cancer for the last few months.

Portis ran for over 15 hundred yards last year despite missing three games with chest and ankle injuries.

As is often the case, the Spiders bypassed the veteran assistants for a current head coach.
Dave Clawson, who has been head coach for the past five years at Fordham University takes over the Spiders.
The 36-year-old Clawson is known for being a wide open offensive coach - a 180 from his predecessor Jim Reid.
