A mom and her small child were taken to the hospital this evening, when their car crashed through the front of a store.

Police say the woman left her 19-87 Jeep Wagoneer running when she got out to talk to a friend. Her child pulled the gearshift into drive and the car crashed through the front of the building. The mother and her friend tried to stop the vehicle but were not able to. Both mother and child were taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.

The rainy weather matched the mood at Staunton River High School today as students learned about the deaths of 17-year-old "Ginny" Dawn Creasy and 16-year-old Barbara "Janae" Mills. Creasy and Mills were killed, along with 16-year-old Michael A. Williams who attended Patrick Henry high school- after an accident in Bedford County last night. Students at both schools did their best to cope.

Car crashes are the number one killer of teenagers in America, and the numbers are growing in Virginia.

At least seven people have been arrested. They are misdemeanor charges, and the district attorney in that county says more charges are possible. He married 25 gay couples Friday, making him the second mayor in the country to perform same sex marriages.

NASA officials say there used to be enough water on the surface of Mars to support life.

The rocks could turn out to be time capsules that captured fossil evidence from millions of years ago. Sometime in the next ten years, NASA will try to land another vehicle on the Red Planet to bring samples of rock back to Earth for better study.
