The Nextel Cup drivers are in Sin City this weekend, no doubt frequenting the casinos. Sunday's race is the first on a mile and half track this season, meaning that the teams may have to gamble with pit strategy, given the new softer tires.

Elinor Bent posed for the cover of a 1944 issue of American Girls magazine saluting the Girl Scouts.
Shortly after, she lost the magazine, but has never forgotten about the portrait.
She mentioned the picture to a Girl Scouts historian who then searched for the original.
The archive group presented Elinor a replica of the cover today. It was the first time she's seen the picture in decades.
She was paid two dollars to pose for the cover. (------------)
