The town is proposing a two percent increase in the lodging tax for area hotels.

Five months after the teacher committed suicide his family wants to know if the school system has changed the way student allegations are investigated.

Today, the family issued a news release asking the school system to reveal how it has addressed the questions that were raised by Mayfield's death.

In a statement, Houston's publicist says the singer is entering a rehabiliation facility and she says Whitney thanks everyone for their support and prayers.
The 40 year old Houston has admitted in the past that she abused drugs and alcohol, but two years ago she said she overcame the problem through prayer.
Houston and her husband singer Bobby Brown have had previous troubles with the law.

San Antonio, Texas is keeping up with the N-C-A-A tournament in a big way.

One of the corporate sponsors of the tournament unveiled a six story high banner with this year's bracket of games.


It measures 72 by 48 feet and lists the names of all 64- teams.
