There's also word of a deadly battle between insurgents and Italian troops in Nasiriyah.
An Italian news agency says at least 15 Iraqis were killed.

Council then voted to reopen the application process until April 19th. Wyatt, who was first elected to council in 1994, had no comment about the decision.
