Shenandoah Furniture will add more operations to its southside factory over the next two years.
It will also add fifty new jobs in the process.
The company will spend over one million dollars to expand the facility and spend nearly half a million more on new equipment.

Animal control officers will be meeting with the Commonwealth's Attorney on Thursday to discuss if any charges will be filed against the owners of two Bedford County dogs.

They allegedly attacked Tater, a four year old miniature hourse, while he was roaming in his owner's pasture a week ago yesterday.
Tater's owner, Carol Simmons, says she hopes that these are the two dogs involved in the attack, but wasn't able to make a positive I-D.
Tater is still recovering from his injuries.

NASCAR driver Ward Burton was involved in a single-vehicle accident this morning just south of Danville. Police in North Carolina say Burton was driving southbound on U-S 29 when he apparently feel asleep at the wheel. His vehicle ran off the roadway and struck a guardrail. He has only a bump to the head.

Two people are dead from an Easter Sunday accident in Henry County. State police say their car left a highway and struck a tree.

But the U-S says it's ready to strike again, if talks break down. Elsewhere in Iraq, not far from the Baghdad airport, a U-S trailer truck went up in flames today.

Residents of the nearby area braved the flames as they rushed to loot the truck's contents.
There was no word of any casualties.

Police say 22 year old Claude Benson Harper died yesterday evening at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Harper was shot in the face Friday night in the 500 block of Rutherford Avenue. Witnesses say the incident stemmed from an earliler fight at Loudon Park. Roanoke City Police say they have developed a suspect in the shooting, and will confer with the Commonwealth's Attorney on what charges will be filed.

The House of Delegates is scheduled to reconvene in Richmond tomorrow.
Current plans call for a vote on raising sales and cigarette taxes that could break the budget deadlock.
The special budget session has already cost taxpayers 53 thousand dollars so far in expenses paid to nearly 60 of the Delegates.
All are entitled to 115 dollars a day for lodging and food.
38 have refused it, and five others are donating the money to charities.
The rest of the Delegates are accepting the reimbursements.
