A teenager and Bedford's fire chief are hurt in crash on Route 4-60 in Bedford County this morning.

The accident happened around 10:45 near Irving.
State Police say a 17-year old was driving a Chevy Cavalier West on 460 when he ran through the median. He then struck a car driven by Bedford Fire Chief *Todd* Stone head on. Stone is listed in good condition at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. The teenager was flown by helicopter to R-M-H. Police are not releasing his name or condition, but say he was NOT wearing his seatbelt.

A plywood maker will bring 160 new jobs to Tazewell County.
Governor Mark Warner announced today that Blue Ridge Wood Products will open a manufacturing plant in the former Woodtech building in Bluefield, VIRGINIA.
It's all part of a three-point-six million dollar investment.
The company will make laminate veneer lumber and hardwood plywood.

When Virginia celebrates its 400th birthday in 2007, the state's Indian tribes may be reluctant to add their names to the guest list.

Vets have named this feline "China."
