Apartment manager, Webbie Hemp, says flooding from an overflowed toilet upstairs caused the accident, but Webb's mother says her daughter notified maintenance several months ago that she was having problems.

State police say quick thinking by a tractor trailer driver kept an accident in Giles County from becoming deadly.

Police say a car heading east on 460 near Glen Lyn lost control, smashed through several signs and went airborne into the west bound lanes. A tractor trailer saw the car coming and crashed into the shoulder and a guardrail to avoid the car. The driver of the car was taken to Giles Memorial Hospital. Police say the West Virginia man's injuries do not appear to be life threatening. West bound 460 near the west Virginia state line has been re-opened.

A state budget is one step closer to reality. The Senate Finance Committee has just unanimously approved a tax plan.
It freezes car tax relief at 950 million dollars. It would also add half a cent to the state sales tax. Half of that increase would be earmarked for education.
The plan will go to both the House and Senate for approval tomorrow.

This bill proves the color of money is not just green.
Behind the portraint of President Ullyssess Grant- are stars and stripes of the U-S flag in red and blue.
A small metallic silver blue star is located on the lower right side of the portrait.
If you hold the bill up to the light you can see the security thread running up and down the left side- If you look closely you can see the words USA 50 printed on it.
Tilt the bill and the ink of the numeral 50 changes color from copper to green.
