Officials say the fire started around 9:20 in the garage of a home in the three-thousand block of Lancaster Drive.
Flames quickly spread to the attic and a second floor bedroom of the main house.
Firefighters had the fire under control in about 20 minutes.
Officials say some birds built a nest in the light fixture and the heat from the light caused it to catch fire.
No one was injured in the blaze.
