Lightning briefly knocked out flights in and out of Roanoke's airport this evening.

Airport officials say that several lightning strikes knocked out the runway lights shortly before 9 o'clock, and lasted for about an hour. And the disruption is expected to affect travel throughout the night. Anyone with questions about a specific flight are being asked to call their airline, and not the airport offices.

No one has yet claimed responsibility for the blast, but suspicion is falling on the Chechen rebels, who oppose Russian control in Chechnya. KADYROV was hand-picked by Russia to "normalize" war torn Chechnya, which made him a target.

The annual Million Mom March only drew about 2-thousand people -- much smaller than the original four years ago. But the message was the same -- crack down on assault weapons. Activists called on congress to renew the assault weapons ban that expires in September, and they want to require background checks for all guns, and reinstate the five day waiting period on gun purchases. Gun control opponents held a counter demonstration nearby.
