The plan was to extend a 12 mile sewer line along the Tom's Creek Basin to bring much needed service to that end of town and to prepare for future growth. Those against the project didn't like the type of sewer system that was to be used and wanted the line to travel down route 460 INSTEAD OF along the creek. Listed on tomorrow night's agenda are plans to reject all bids, reject the sale of the bond and terminate all offers to purchase land needed to extend the line. The council still has to vote, but the items are listed in the consent agenda, where there's usually no discussion and just a quick vote to accept it.
