Raleigh Police say the case is still generating leads, especially after Stephanie's father offered a one hundred thousand dollar reward last summer.
But now the lead investigator is about to retire.

Police hope to release a videotape that shows some of the crime scene in hopes it will jog someone's memory.

Virginia may end the fiscal year with a surplus, just weeks after the passing a major tax increase.
State revenue collections have grown nine and a half percent for the year.
That's well ahead of what was expected.
Salem Delegate Morgan Griffith says if the upswing continues, legislators may consider rolling back some of the recently-passed tax hikes.
Griffith says removing the cap on car tax relief could be the first thing to go if the state ends up with a surplus.

Initial reports indicate --the students overdosed on the drug (Klon-Oh-Pin) Klonopin.
The medication is prescribed to treat seizures and panic disorders.
But there have been reports of the drug being abused.

Klonopin can create a feeling similar to Valium (VAL-ium) --where the person feels relaxed and forgets their worries.
The symptoms can also include drowsiness, confusion, dizziness and glassy eyes.

200 high-paying jobs are headed to Lynchburg now that a Washington D-C company is moving its headquarters to the Hill City.

The company makes components for communications equipment, including technology used in homeland security operations.

The first soldier to be court martialled over abuse of Iraqi prisoners was sentenced today.

Specialist Jeremy Sivits broke into tears twice as he plead guilty to the abuse. He was then asked to describe what happened at Abu Ghraib prison. Sivits said on the night of November 8th, 2003 he saw detainees, with their heads in sandbags, lying naked on the floor. He saw soldiers step on their hands and feet and watched as one detainee was knocked unconcious by a blow to the head.
Sivits apologized to the Iraqi people, his fellow soldiers and to his family. He was sentenced to the maximum one year confinement, a pay reduction and a bad conduct discharge. Three other soldiers were also arraigned on similar abuse charges.

Elizabeth Sanchez/CBS News: The video was shown during 3 classes at this Texas school. The school district says the teachers did not get permission and used poor judgement. In Texas, Arkansas and California the teachers showing the video have been placed on administrative leave. Zack Bramer saw the video in his class at Northwest High. Many of the students are worried about the teachers involved. One of them has been teacher of the year. LIZ SUDDERTHS/STUDENT: IT'S NOT LIKE THE TEACHERS FORCED THEM TO WATCH THE VIDEO THEY COULD HAVE TURNED AWAY. Some experts say because not all students are psychologically mature the images could have lasting harm on the kids. So some schools are providing counseling for students who viewed the video. ((There have always been signs in Dry Fork indicating Tunstall's baseball dominance. 7 of 9 positions return starters from last years final four team that has not forgotten how 2003 ended at the hand of Amherst. ((:)) In 2004, the pitching duo of Will Inman and Jacob Thompson have a combined ERA of just over 1.0. Inman broke the single season strike out record of 105 K's this season and broke the Tunstall career strike out record of 216 last year as a sophomore. A record set by Trojan legend Bubba Scarce, who starred at N.C. State. ((:))

The Chamber of Commerce is working with a company out of Atlanta to put together a book of Roanoke Valley images.
The book will take a look at quality of life and business issues. It'll be used as an economic development tool and local stores will also sell it. Publishing is set for November. (------------)
