The first court-martial in the Iraq prisoner abuse scandal is set to begin.
Earlier today, three soldiers accused of abusing prisoners appeared for arraignment, but deferred entering pleas.
Another hearing is scheduled June 21st.

Thanks to the new budget, Montgomery County teachers can expect a larger-than-normal pay increase.

In business news, President Bush has renominated Alan Greenspan to a fifth - four year term as Chairman of the Federal Reserve. A White House spokesman says the President wants the 78 year old Greenspan to continue to serve as head of the nation's central bank for as long as possible. Greenspan has just a month left in his current term. It's widely expected that he'll step down in two years, when his term as a Fed governor expires. Now here's a look at your local stocks.

The pilots had ejected safely. No one was injured. The Paulitzkys, who are still finding pieces of wreckage, say they're amazed but not surprised. Just two hours before the crash they'd returned from a week away, a week during which they'd focused on prayer.
