Several students are recovering after their school bus runs off the road in Roanoke County.

All of the students are home safe and sound tonight after some scary moments this afternoon- The bus driver though is still hospitalized.

The bus crashed on Buck Mountain Road near the Blue Ridge Parkway overpass at about 3:30.
Witnesses say the bus ran off the right side of the road and down an embankment.
A total of 26 were on the bus, three students and the bus driver were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Witnesses say the driver apparently had a medical problem just before the accident.

Roanoke is apparently one of the first cities in the country to use it extensively.
City officials say the grass is extremely low maintenance and therefore is a cut above the rest.

The grass is also thicker and greener.
Another advantage is that it's partly drought resistant, meaning it doesn't need to be watered as much.
But some residents have complained this is a waste of money. City leaders disagree.

The city also believes it will save them money overtime because since the grass grows so slowly it won't have to be mowed as much.
Right now, the grass has been planted in ditches, medians, and steep slopes.

It was stolen by the Nazis 60 years ago.
Now the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is returning it to the rightful owner.

A French Renaissance portrait will be leaving the museum's collection in a few weeks.
After careful research, officials have determined the painting was stolen from an Austrian Jew by Hitler's Gestapo.

The piece was donated to the museum in 1950.
Museum officials say they had "no inkling" it was stolen property until the legal heir to the painting contacted them in February.
