Logan Bowman was last seen around January 7 2003.
But he wasn't reported missing until nearly a month later.

He's presumed dead and his body has never been found. Cynthia Davis testified in the days before Logan's disappearance, he accidentally burned himself in the bathtub.
She says she was in an abusive relationship with Schermerhorn and he wouldn't let her take Logan to the hospital. Davis said the next morning she woke up and Logan was gone and that she was held hostage for a month. Defense attorneys basically put Davis on trial, attacking her story. They got her to admit she wasn't held captive and had many opportunities to leave.
Attorneys also pointed out many inconstancies in her statements to police. Schermerhorn claims Davis refused to take Logan to the hospital and he woke up one morning and Logan was gone.
