Police have charged a 14 year old girl and one of her friends with first degree murder in the death of the girl's mother.

The body of 42 year old Vaughne Roxanne Thomas was found Sunday night, buried in her back yard in a shallow grave in Wythe County.
She'd been stabbed multiple times.
Police say Thomas' husband came home from a trip Sunday night and found the home ransacked and his wife and step daughter missing.
Investigators say the girls were found at a home in Fort Chiswell where they confessed to the crime and led police to the body.
Police believe it was an argument that turned deadly.

Authorities believe Davis went to the home looking for Tate, whom she suspected of cheating.

Just before two, police say 60-year-old Reba Tyree was headed south on Memorial Avenue when she swerved into the northbound lane.
Tyree's Volkwagen was broadsided by a G-L-T-C bus.. she's in serious condition at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Six people on the bus were shaken up but did not require medical treatment.
The driver of another car involved in the crash suffered minor injuries.
