Two teenagers are facing NEW charges in the murder of a Wythe County woman. The charges were added this week against 14 year old Nakisha Waddell- who is the victims' daughter and 15 year old Anastasia Belcher.

The two are accused of stabbing 42 year old Vaughne Thomas to death in her Max Meadows home. Thomas was found Memorial Day weekend, buried in her backyard. Both teens are charged with murder and are now facing four more charges. Wythe County investigators have added one count each of conspiracy to commit felony murder, conspiracy to commit felony robbery, solicitation of another person to commit murder and intimidation of a witness.

The U-S Department of Commerce gave area furniture makers a victory today.

In a preliminary report released today, it ruled that China IS dumping wooden bedroom furniture into the U-S. The ruling essentially means China is illegally flooding the market with cheaper furniture. The U-S will immediately begin imposing duties ranging to five to 198 percent against Chinese furniture companies. The U-S has lost 35 thousand wood furniture jobs in the last four years.
