(( U.S. FORCES ARE PREPARING FOR MAY BE THE NEXT BATTLE FOR BAGHDAD-- INSURGENTS TRYING TO DERAIL THE TRANSITION TO IRAQI RULE NEXT WEDNESDAY. CHARLIE D'AGATA REPORTS FROM BAGHDAD. If there's a "frontline in the war on terror" in Iraq...this is it. US warplanes launched airstrikes on Fallujah for the third time this week, targeting a suspected safehouse for Abu Musab al Zarqawi's network.
Residents say previous airstrikes did little more than kill Iraqi civilians and breed more anti-American hatred.
But more worrying is what the insurgents plan to do next. D'AGATA STANDUP: US MILITARY INTELLIGENCE SOURCES WARN OF A "MAJOR TERRORIST OFFENSIVE" IN BAGHDAD IN THE COMING DAYS. US AND IRAQI FORCES FACE THE MAMMOTH TASK OF TRYING TO SEAL THE PERIMETER OF THIS SPRAWLING CITY OF SIX MILLION PEOPLE IN AN ATTEMPT TO SEARCH EVERY SUSPECT VEHICLE TRYING TO ENTER THE CAPITAL. Security consultants are advising all foreigners in Baghdad to stay in "lock-down," not to step foot outside their compounds unless absolutely necessary. Iraq's interim defense minister said Iraqi forces won't wait for the next attack, vowing that the "time has come for a showdown." Hazem Shaalan, Interim Defence Minister: We will pursue these people and we will keep the Iraqi people safe and secure and establish democracy in Iraq. Pursuing those people may take priority over "establishing democracy." Iraqi officials say they intend to crush the insurgency...by whatever means necessary. Charlie Dagata. CBS News, Baghdad.))

English Construction submitted two proposals to the county today: one would build a new, combined middle school and high school... the other would build a new high school and add gymnasiums to three other county schools.
It's all part of Virginia's Public-Private Educational Facilities Act, which lets private companies handle the design, construction and financing of public schools.
Other interested companies will have 45 days to submit their own proposals.
Previous estimates have put the project's cost in the neighborhood of 38 million dollars.
