One person is killed in a morning accident in Franklin County.
The accident happened shortly before 8 o'clock this morning on Route 122, a few miles south of Burnt Chimney.
State Police say 52 year old Roy Nininger of Moneta was killed when his vehicle crossed the center line and and hit a car head on. The driver of that car, 18 year old Paul Morra of Salem, was flown to Roanoke Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. Another car driven by a juvenile was involved in the accident, but its occupants were not injured.
State Police investigators then closed the road for several hours reconstructing the accident.
The crash is still under investigation.
