Authorities say alcohol WAS a factor in a fatal accident in Bedford County.
It happened at 6-05 last night on Route 654.
State Police say the victim, 48 year old Wanda Saye Hicks of Vinton, came around a curve too fast, ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree.
Hicks and her passenger, Allen Shelor of Moneta, were ejected from the car.
Shelor's injuries were not life threatning.
He was taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital and is expected to be released later today.
