Two people were injured when their vehicle crashed and rolled on Interstate 81 this evening.

The accident happened shortly after 7-thirty in the southbound lanes near mile marker-150. State Police say the S-U-V ran into the median, swerved back, overcorrected and then rolled. The car rolled several times, and finally slid to a stop nearly a thousand feet down the road. Two people in the car were treated for minor injuries. The accident briefly *blocked* both lanes, and traffic was backed up for miles.

One woman was injured after being hit by a car this afternoon.

It happened around 3-o'clock on Ogden Road on the Roanoke City-County line. Witnesses say the woman was walking down the road when she was hit. She was taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital by ambulance. There is no word on the extent of her injuries. Police say charges are pending.

A Northern Virginia man is recovering tonight after falling 30-feet from the Cascades in Giles County. Authorities say 24-year-old Ian McWan of Woodbridge was hiking in the area with a friend around five o-clock, when he slipped and fell. McWan was airlifted to Roanoke Memorial Hospital for head and knee injuries -- although officials say he WAS conscious when rescue crews pulled him from the water. Officials say he could face charges of trespassing -- for going beyond a restricted area.

The memorial represents hope and healing for people like Jane Laprade, whose son, Keith was killed in an automobile accident three years ago.

A circus tiger in New York wasn't clowning around when he decided to take a walk through the park.

The 450-pound tiger was found strolling through a residential street after he escaped from the Cole Brothers Circus performing in Queens today. Police say the seven-and-a-half-year-old animal named Apollo managed to get out while being transferred from one cage to another. He was captured by police and his trainer who found him on the Jackie Robinson Parkway about a half-mile away. The sight of the tiger caused a multi-car accident on the parkway as drivers reacted to the sight of the animal. Four adults and one child suffered minor injuries.
