Two people are dead after a night of swimming. Rockbridge County authorities say 20 year old Charles Back and his 13 year old cousin went swimming at Jordan's Point yesterday evening. When they never came home, Back's brother went looking for them and found only their belongings. Police and rescue crews were called in, along with the Salem Swift Water rescue team. About 2-20 this morning, Rockbridge County divers found the bodies about 20 feet away from the bank in 15 feet of water. Both deaths have been ruled accidental.

Authorities have detained the owners of the supermarket.
They're investigating reports that a gas canister exploded in the food court area.
The heat of the blaze caused one floor to collapse into a parking lot, trapping some drivers in their burning cars.

Some survivors are quoted as saying they were unable to open some doors as they tried to escape the flames.
The owners deny that any exits were deliberately closed.
