A Lynchburg man is the prime suspect in the investigation into a series of burglaries over the past several weeks.

Eight churches and businesses in the Campbell Avenue area have been broken into. The items stolen include tools, microwave ovens, computers and a large t-v.

31-year-old Shawn Wesley Irby is in jail for parole violation and drug charges ... police say charges related to the burglaries are pending.

During yesterday afternoon's practice tight end Jason Witten from Tennessee - the brother of former Hokie Shaun Witten - plowed into the back of Parcells in the back of the endzone and knocked him down. No correlation to this - but - just three days ago Parcells called Witten a pretty boy.

Buggy, mini-tractors and traditional mowers are included, and to ensure safety, all the blades are removed. This race is said to be the most prestigious of the Lawnmower racing season.
