A resident of the Roanoke Valley has contracted what health officials believe is the first human case of West NileVirus in Virginia this year.

Her attorneys asked for a jury trial and compensatory damages of at least 75-thousand dollars, with punitive damages to be determined later.
A civil suit has a lower standard of proof than a crminal case, and punishment is usually a monetary award.
Bryant has pleaded innocent to felony sexual assault. His criminal trial begins August 27th.

((His wife is willing to do whatever it takes. Julie and Todd Krampitz
were high school sweethearts. Their first date was at the tender age of
15.
They were already life partners when they married this past March.
Looking back they say -- good thing.
"Our life was perfect," said Julie Krampitz. "You would never have
thought in a million years that something like this would happen. I mean
just never."
Weeks after their wedding vows, Todd woke up feeling bad.
"Two hours later, I just had a sharp pain in my side," Todd remembered.
"I mean, I was crunched over, holding my side."
Hours after that -- the doctors' diagnosis. "He said, 'well, you have
cancer,'" said Todd. "And I was just, I was just like 'no way. It can't
be me. I'm 32 years old, healthy, never been to a doctor before.'"
His wife, Julie, has been on a mission ever since. She is receiving
phone call after phone call -- thanks to the two billboards.
The billboards say "I need a liver. Please help save my life."
A transplant is Todd's only hope.
"She's doing an unbelievable job," Todd said. "If it wasn't for her, I
don't know what I'd be doing right now. I'd be laying on the couch
crying myself to sleep, probably."
What Todd is looking for is a directed donation for someone to
specifically ask to donate to him. It's the only way to avoid a long
waiting list.
"My drive is -- I can't sit back and wait for things to happen," said
Julie. "We've got to make it happen."
Todd has lost twenty pounds and the pain is getting stronger. No one
knows how long he has. But these newlyweds insist a love story lasts
forever.

Brown played in a club record 240 games for the Raiders, and he has caught at least one pass in 173 consecutive games -- the second-longest streak in NFL history behind Jerry Rice's 273.

This is a blue eyed, white Bengal tiger- with no stripes. It's one of about only 20 in the world.
The three month old was born in Spain. She does have a name- Artico- which is Spanish for Arctic-
The cubs parents and brothers are normal Bengal tigers, orange with black stripes, but because of a genetic mutation, this cub is completely white with no stripes.
It's almost impossible for Tigers like Artico to survive in the wild because other tigers reject them or even attack them because of their strange color.
