Police say 20 year old Van Lamar Thornton shot and killed a teenager Saturday night at the Knights of Columbus building.
He faces first degree murder and firearms charges.
15 year old Reginald Lemar Kirby died in the shooting. A 20 year old woman was wounded.

A man convicted of killing a Christiansburg woman will be getting a new execution date.

James Reid was 24 hours away from dying by lethal injection last December when he got a stay from a federal appeals court.
He was sentenced to death for the murder of Annie Lester eight years ago.
Today, the U.S. Supreme Court lifted Reid's stay in a 5-4 ruling.
The Court gave no reasons for its decision.

The Carroll County Board of Supervisors shut down the town's squad in May.
