Hogan Dam is on a state watch list. The nearly 90 year old structure is in danger of failing if it gets a significant amount of rain in less than 24 hours. In recent months, Pulaski officials lowered the water level by about 8 feet as a precaution. Plans are already moving forward to upgrade the aging structure.

Earl Bowman says the break in was a traumatic event that his family will never totally forget... and though he was surprized by the news of today's indictment, he says it was something they had left in the hands of the Lord.

Shannon, the suspect is identified as Juan Castillo, a man authorities say was an illegal alien passing through Virginia on interstate 81.
Today he's in a New York State prison serving time for rape and murder.

An execution date has been set for a man convicted in the 1996 murder of an elderly Christiansburg woman.

58 year old James Edward Reid will be executed September 9th. He's been on death row since 1998 for the brutal slaying of 87 year old Annie Lester. Reid's attorneys say they may still try to appeal and they could still ask for clemency from Governor Mark Warner.

A Roanoke County man is dead after wrecking his vehicle on Route 220.

Roanoke Police say Donald Wane Graham was travelling *NORTH* on 220 at about a quarter after eleven this morning. Shortly after passing the Wonju exit Graham crossed *over* the median. The vehicle then crossed both lanes of southbound traffic and ended up in a ditch. Graham was taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital where he died a short time later. Graham was in his sixties. No one else was injured.

Chip Sullivan has made the cut at the 86th PGA Championship at the Whistling Straits course in Kohler, Wisconsin. During today's second round - Chip shot a one under ar 71 that included four birdies and three bogeys. The key hole was the par five 16th. Yesterday Chip bogeyed it - today he birdied it. He will safely make the cut with his two day total of one under par 143. Right now he's tied for 29th.
