Lynchburg police are stepping up their patrols downtown after anarchist graffiti was found on several businesses overnight Wednesday.

The phrase "Lost Boys" was also painted in at least two different locations.

THE FED MAY HAVE RAISED SHORT TERM INTEREST RATES BY A QUARTER POINT THIS WEEK, BUT MORTGAGE RATES ACTUALLY FELL... THAT'S BECAUSE MORTGAGE RATES ARE NOT TIED TO THE SHORT TERM FED FUNDS RATE. Yesterday, the governor announced a 34 percent increase in the reimbursement hospitals and doctors receive from MedicAid.
