A major downtown landmark in Lynchburg has changed hands, and the new owners have big plans for the property.

The sale of the 100-year-old Krise (k-rice) building at the corner of Ninth and Main Streets was completed yesterday, although the price is being kept confidential.
The new owners want to renovate the seven-story building and offer office and loft space within the next year.
The building currently has just four tenants who occupy a small portion of the 35-thousand square feet.
Bowen's Jewelry says it also plans to expand its first-floor operations.

Today they hit the obstacle course.
In the last 10 years, Tech's Corps has doubled in size from around 400 to 800 cadets a year.
This year's freshman class is helping to make the Corps one of the university's largest ever.
