Staff Seargent Ryan Howard died two weeks ago, when his helicopter went down near Baghdad.
Military offiicals say the helicopter had engine problems.
Nearly 300-people attended funeral services today at the Arritt Funeral Home in Covington.
Howard was buried at the Palenstine Cemetary next to the Presybeterian church, where he grew up.
The 25-year-old leaves behind a wife and two children.

Two deadly bomb blasts were aimed at ministers but missed their targets.

She was unharmed - but several bodyguards were killed in the blast.
In a second incident, attackers got the timing wrong - and exploded a
roadside bomb alongside the Education ministers convoy - before it had

....but his militia
did throw up road blocks across Sadr City, the slum district that is his
powerbase in the capital.
