An accident involving highway equipment caused some major delays on Interstate-81.

Both northbound lanes of 81 were blocked for about two hours this evening at mile marker 94 near Pulaski.
A truck lost a road sign when the trailer unhitched from the truck. An eyewitness says the sign went airborne and hit an oncoming tractor trailer, causing it to jackknife.

State police say the driver of the tractor trailer was taken to the Pulaski hospital complaining of lower back pain.

Troopers say the trailer's safety chain was hooked up, but it snapped when the trailer unhitched. Both lanes are now open.

A 22 year old man was injured in an accident on Bradshaw Road today, though his name and condition still have not been released. The wreck happened just after two this afternoon. Police say this gold Toyota Corolla was traveling at a high speed when the driver lost control of his car and hit a tree. Lifeguard 10 was called to the scene, but the victim was transported by ambulance instead.

Caron Jones didn't think twice when her son wore a T-shirt to school that had her hometown on the front-- Hempstead. School officials at Grayson High School, in Georgia, believed the T-shirt was sending a different message, one that had to do with marijuana. Jones's son was pulled from his classroom until the school checked into the shirt and found that Hempstead was a real town. The Jones family is still looking for an apology from the school and say they will fight until they get it.

And the US men's basketball team finally found its outside touch today in beating previously unbeaten Spain 102-94. Stephon Marbury set Olympic records for points with 31 and three pointers with 6. The Americans are now just two wins away from the gold medal.

Dozens of people shot around the course today in a special round for V-I-P's. The Vista Links is a 18 hole, par 72, links style course. City officials hope it will appeal to golfers who want a challenging course for a reduced cost. Greens fees range from 10 to 27 dollars. The course opens to the public tomorrow. (------------)
