At least three people were taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital following an accident this morning in Boones Mill.

It happened after seven o'clock on US- 220.
State Police say an S-U-V was attempting to enter the northbound lanes when it pulled out in front of a dump truck heading south.
The truck driver swerved to avoid the S-U-V but the two vehicles collided.

Less than an hour after the Boones Mill accident, a Martinsville truck driver died when his tractor-trailer left Route 220 in Henry County and struck a guard rail. State police say 56 year old Charles Everett McGuire was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say McGuire may have suffered a heart attack or other medical condition moments before the accident.

Stone was one of three students who died early Friday when their fraternity house at the University of Mississippi caught fire.
