About 20 blocks of downtown Richmond have been condemned due to damage from the water, which reached up to ten feet.

The fire chief in James City says one hit around 1:40 yesterday and a second came off the James River about an hour later.

In northern Japan, a typhoon has left at least seven people dead and forced thousands from their homes.

Typhoon Chaba is one of the strongest storms to hit Japan this year-- generating winds of up to 130 miles per hour.
It's also caused blackouts to thousands of homes-- and more than 750 domestic flights were cancelled.
The typhoon's arrival coincides with the highest tides of the year, raising concerns about flood damage.

Roanoke authorities say a house fire this morning arose from a domestic dispute.

Around 4:30, fire broke out in the back bedroom of a home in the 400 block of Arbor Avenue southeast.
Crews got the fire out quickly. No one was hurt.
Officials say the fire was intentionally set, and related to a domestic incident the day before.
They estimate damage at about 15-thousand dollars.
