Two teenagers were taken to the hospital after inhaling fumes at Patrick Henry high school.

A Christiansburg teenager accused of shooting and killing another teen is facing a more serious charge. 17 year old Zachary Linkous is NOW accused of second degree murder.

Jean, Prosecutors decided NOT to move forward with a malicious wounding and voluntary manslaughter charge against Zachary Linkous. Instead the opted for second degree murder and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

17 year old Linkous is accused of shooting and killing 15 year old Edward Bertrand back in June. Bertrand was shot once in the stomach in a friend's garage on Spruce Street in Christiansburg. 15 year old Mandi Carlson was also present at the shooting and will be the key witness in the crime. But Linkous' attorney, Jimmy Turk says this case is nothing more than a tragic accident.

Turk also says that Zach and Edward were best friends and there was no reason for Linkous to shoot him. When asked, why his client had a gun then, Turk said, kids do stupid things and a friend had given it to him. Jean.

The list of suspects in Tuesday night's murder of a Lynchburg man has now grown to four.

30-year-old Clyde Arbrey Hilliard was shot to death outside the James Crossing apartments on Longview Road.
After talking with witnesses, police say they're looking for four people in connection with the crime.
Two of them are brothers: 29-year-old Emmitt Leonard Harsley and his 26-year-old brother Jabulani.
They'd also like to talk to 23-year-old Insan Abdul Salaam J. Hall and 23-year-old Julian Eugene Slaughter.
Anyone who might know where any of these men are is asked to call the Lynchburg police.
